About/Disclosure

About us and why we started this blog:

Here we are, just two friends who have read a lot about Financial Independence (FI) and decided we want it.  Although the question is, how to achieve it?  The majority of bloggers/writers who have ‘retired’ from their 8 to 5 job, have not in fact ‘retired’. They are still working in some manner, on their blog, with a secondary part time gig, real estate, etc.  Our goal is to talk about Financial Independence (FI) as it pertains to Real Life.  We live in 2 completely different communities….but there are some similarities.  For example:  We live in towns that are not conducive to riding a bike or using public transportation.    We live in towns that are low in wages, average in cost of living.    We do not have lucrative side jobs.  (we do have this blog, though)    The differences are stark.  One lives in a town bordering on 200k, the other in a town of 2500.  We are not financial whizzes….yet.  But we invite you along on this journey.
